Michele Kittell Connolly is a seasoned non-profit leader, grant strategist, and certified grant professional dedicated to helping mission-driven organizations thrive. With over a decade of experience as an Executive Director and more than $3 million raised through successful grant initiatives, Michele brings a unique blend of visionary leadership, hands-on expertise, and a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector to her work.
Michele partners with non-profit leaders to bring clarity to their vision, build sustainable operations, and secure the funding they need to grow their impact. Whether she’s coaching nonprofit leaders, crafting compelling grant proposals, or delivering practical training for small nonprofit staff, Michele is known for translating complex ideas into actionable strategies.
Prior to launching her consulting practice, Michele served as Executive Director of the Wildlife Leadership Academy, where she expanded program reach fivefold, built lasting relationships with over 28 funding partners, and spearheaded key diversity and inclusion initiatives. Her work has been recognized with the Walter Lyon Award for outstanding contributions to environmental leadership.
In addition to her consulting work, Michele serves on Pennsylvania’s Governor’s Advisory Council for Hunting, Fishing, the Conservation and the People, Parks and Community Foundation Board of Trustees, and as a mentor for the Grant Professional Association.
Michele holds a master’s degree in Zoology from Clemson University, a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Penn State University, and is Grant Professional Certified.
When she’s not supporting non-profit changemakers, Michele can be found enjoying the outdoors in central Pennsylvania, always inspired by the natural world that first sparked her passion for purpose-driven work.
